If you take a multidisciplinary approach to your arts, you might well appreciate this upcoming season of film at the British Film Institute. To run from October 30th - November 29th at the BFI Southbank, Of Dreams And Cities promises to lay on quite a spread of architecturally-related films, documentaries, discussion and debate to celebrate RIBA's 175th founding anniversary.
The ubiquitous Citizen Kane will be on offer, as will Peter Greenaway's The Belly of an Architect and Antonioni's L'eclisse, to name but a few of the treats to be served. Not only will this be an indulgent fusing of the visual arts, but a chance to be be present for and contribute to major thinking on issues both heavily affecting and affected by architecture today.
See the BFI for more info on screenings and events.
